Granada City Buses

Granada's city buses run right across the city, from north to south

Updated on 29 September 2023

Granada has an excellent city bus service that will take you anywhere in town at a very reasonable price.

Prices last checked in 2023. See the current fares on the Transportes Rober website.

A single bus fare costs €1.40 and includes 60 minutes of transfers. During that time you can change buses at no extra cost.

Tickets

There are 3 types of travel card that bring the cost of each journey down considerably:

You buy these cards on the bus itself the first time you use them, and they carry an extra €2 refundable deposit.

You also top up your Credibús on the bus, choosing the amount you want to add.

When your trip to Granada is over, you can hand the card back on any bus (when you use it for the last time) and you’ll get your €2 deposit back (as long as the card is in good condition).

Bear in mind that any remaining balance is not refunded, only the deposit, so if you still have, say, €3.20 on the card when you leave the city, you won’t get it back.

Granada’s buses run until 22:00 on weekdays and until 23:00 at weekends (with a few exceptions).

You’ll find all the information on timetables, route maps and fares on the bus company’s website.

To make things easier, we recommend 2 mobile apps. The first is Moovit, a brilliant app for getting around the city because it works out your route using the different types of public transport, which here means buses and the metro. You can plan your route on its website or download the app for Android or iOS. The second is GranadaBus, an app that focuses solely on Granada’s buses.
